Viaferrata climbingA few minutes walk to reach the via which starts out as an easy climb, followed by a traverse with your toes on a narrow ledge. Then comes the problem of getting down the well-named pitch, Emotion! … Afterwards, a short traverse, a diagonal ascent and a small vertical wall. Another traverse brings you to the foot of the via’s steepest pitch Le Génépi (cultural reference – see the film Les Bronzés Font du Ski)
A short muddy climb followed by an attractive easy traverse lead you to another muddy ascent La Grotte des Ardoisiers. Next, the Passage du Berger, a comfortable ledge leading you under the Balcon du Lac. A diagonal ascent of a steep rocky slope, La Traversée du Bénitier, is followed by a series of ledges and a typical angle, Le Passage du Rasoir, Finally a steep grassy slope takes you to the top of the Saix du Tour ridge.
DescentAlong the ridge, then down a ski trail; about 30 minutes.
