To the start of the viaferrataFrom the Place Jean Jaurès (central square with town hall, museum, tourist office), follow the River Bienne towards Longchaumois, then turn left on the D69, direction Ste Claude; 400m further, on the left, you will see a signboard indicating the start of the via.
Viaferrata climbingAfter the first 10 m climb, you cross a bridge leading to another wall and, after that, a monkey bridge brings you back to a vertical face. At the top of that, you reach a connecting footpath. A traverse across the Faucon Pélérin area brings you to a Nepalese bridge. The final ascent of the Traversée des Chamois ends at the Roche au Dade belvedere. DescentA marked path will get you back to the centre of Morez in about 15 minutes. Note: If you cannot continue, there is an escape exit at the level of the Faucon traverse.
