Climbing in the via ferrata
Warning!
This explanation is only for Y sling lines. If you have a other via ferrata sling line, don't read it!
The easiest way to be safe at 100% is to always use the same hand when changing the carabineers from one part of the cable section to the other.
A) When you have to change the section, take the first carabineer with the right hand (as example, you can also use the left one
When you remove the first carabineer, you are still secured by the second one.
Place the first carabineer on the new section of the cable.
B)Now, take the second carabineer, also with the right hand, and place it to the new section of the cable.
(during this time, you are secured with the first one
Via Ferrata is easy and always secure when you do it right
For KidsSame for kids. They must always use the same hand when changing the carabineers to the new cable section.
To make it safer.
Ask them the permission to transfer the carabineers
Ex:
Kid: persmission transfert 1: Adult says: Transfert 1
Kid: permission tranfert 2: Adult answers: Tranfert 2
