Only use Via Ferrata gear when climbing a via ferrata
The via ferrata sling lines have two specially designed carabineers
(you have to open them with at least two fingers, look at the picture)
Opening a carabineer with two fingers is very comfortable and safe. If you try them once, you won’t be able to use to traditional ones anymore!
The rope has 10mm at the minimum
Y SystemYou must only this system ! It allows you to be secured to the safety line at all time! It is NOT recommended to use the V system or to create your own sling line.
Shock absorberThis piece is the key. In case of fall, the absorber will absorb the fall and you will not be broken into two pieces! or your carabineers won’t cut the safety cable!
