Start of the viaferrataSmall private toll road to the Birchlaui parking place, then 20 minutes on foot to the refuge. Or, from the cable-car station on the left after Furen, take the marked North-West trail to the Tallihutte cabin.
Climbing the ViaferrataStart immediately with an impressive ladder. Afterwards, the slope is less steep leading to a towering rock-filled wall. The route worms its way between the rocks. About a third of the way up you reach a cave with a small bench; sign the visitors’ book in the cave. Further on you are again suspended from vertical ladders over the void. Stay concentrated when you transfer from one ladder to the next…emotion guaranteed….
