If you want to do this via ferrata, remember that you’ll be right up in the mountains, top height 3'206 m.

So DO realize that it’s a serious excursion,
DO take suitable clothing in case of cold or rain,
and DO make sure that your fitness, strength and stamina are sufficient. It’s a long trip!

By Road

Geneva – Lausanne – Martigny – Brig. From Brig, take the road to Zermatt as far as Saas. From Sion to Saas, count a good hour’s driving.

To the start  of the viaferrata

Take the cable-car from Saas-Grund to Kreuzboden 2400. 1¼ hour’s walk up to the Weissmies hut. 

Climbing the Viaferrata

This via ferrata consists of several distinct sections : from the hut to Grat (3150 m) in 1½ hours – a descent to Lücke (3'098 m) in 1 h – then the final climb to the Jagihorn (3'206 m) in roughly 1h.
